Today I joined the Honda wives again for an outing. Even though it was quite hot, we managed to find something cool to eat. After lunch we headed to Midoliya, in downtown Hamamatsu. Midoliya translates to "green shop."
The shaved ice was very unique and different from American shaved ice I've tried in the past. This ice was very fluffy and made using a hand crank. I had the lemon milk, and much to my happy surprise, the "milk" was actually condensed milk! YUM!
The ice was good and very traditional. Unfortunately that also means there wasn't an air conditioner in the place, and we cooled off by using some complimentary fans.
It was fun and I look forward to our next outing!
